Westman Freightliner and River Valley Truck Centers is a Freightliner truck dealership involved in new and used truck sales, service, trailer service, a full service body shop and collision center, parts sales, and rental and leasing.

Westman Freightliner is locally owned and operated by Jerry "Butch" Westman who is a Southern Minnesota native, born and raised in St. James, MN. Butch (President and CEO) has over 20 years experience in the Trucking industry and is actively involved in all of the day to day operations. Before getting into the trucking business, he served 10 years in the US Army earning the rank of Captain. Currently all three of his sons are actively involved in the family business.

The oldest son, Luke, attended Gustavus Adolphus College where he graduated 2003 with a degree in Accounting. After college he began working for Westman Freightliner focusing his efforts on the parts department. In 2007, Luke joined the Army and served for 4 years. He was a part of the 3rd ID and in 2010 served over seas in Operation Iraqi Freedom 10-11 and Operation New Dawn. In March 2011, Luke was honorably discharged from active duty as a 1LT. Luke is now back with Westman Freightliner working as the Parts Manager and Purchasing Supervisor in our Mankato Location.

Tyler Westman is also actively involved in the family business. He grew up being a part of the business and has worked in various departments, including the parts warehouse, and detail shop. He is now working out of Westman Freightliner’s Faribault location, where he is the Store Manager and the New and Used Truck Salesman.     

Jacob, the youngest of the three, is finishing his degree in Economics and Finance at Minnesota State Mankato. After graduation, he plans on joining the family business and selling new and used trucks.

Westman Freightliner employs 174 people throughout Southern Minnesota with our main office located directly off of Highway 14 East in Mankato, MN. In addition to our Mankato locations, we are located in Marshall, Fairmont, and Faribault Minnesota.  Each location is staffed with certified sales, parts and service personal.
